Oldham regeneration provides opportunities for all
Oldham’s town centre regeneration provides strong investment opportunities for both the public and private sector, according to regeneration experts at Insider’s latest breakfast event.The Invest in Oldham breakfast, which was held at Manchester’s Innside on Tuesday, 28 November 2017, discussed the future for business with key occupiers and gathered top names in property and regeneration to examine the prospects for the town centre masterplan.The vision is for a new-look town centre worth an additional £50m per year to the economy. The masterplan includes a strong cultural, leisure and residential offer.Muse’s managing director Matt Crompton was asked whether the town’s proposals were investable.This was echoed by regeneration expert Langtree’s Neal Biddle as well as Christian Gilham from Leach Rhodes Walker, which led the design of the masterplan.he masterplan is currently in consultation. Tom Stannard, Oldham Council’s director of economy and skills, suggested that the proposition was one of Greater Manchester’s biggest and most exciting town centre opportunities.Invest in Oldham was headline sponsored by Oldham Council.
